Money Cant Change Our Minds

Frida Lyngstad, one of the vocalists for ABBA responded to the declination of the $1 billion reunion tour stating that no money could change their minds. However, she also said that writing a new song and recording together is still on the table. But money isn’t an issue that could bring them back to the stage.

Benny Andersson, one of the co-leaders of ABBA told Aftonbladet, a Swedish tabloid, that even with an absurd amount like that wouldn’t bring us back together. Bjorn Ulvaeus told Tate Modern that other bands have comebacks, but ABBA has never done that.

Since it’s been more than 30 years since their breakup, the members of ABBA are now in their late 60s. Since ABBA loved to dance throughout their live shows, it seems hard to imagine them to be able to dance as they used to at their age. But maybe this is something that is fine. It’s not best to force one the biggest bands in the world to do something they don’t want to do. Sometimes it’s okay to leave them as to how we remembered them.
