It seems like every week that a celebrity has opened up a new restaurant in large cities. They obviously don’t need the extra money, seeing as how their Hollywood careers can more than provide. So, what’s the deal?
Why restaurants?
Although the food and beverage industry is an incredibly difficult one to succeed in, the barrier to entry is actually quite low. So, instead of spending a significant chunk of their fortune on, say, researching, developing, and distributing power tools, why not get into a game where you can rely on creative chefs and cooks to do the work for you?
Plus, there’s the fact that restaurants are about the patrons and celebrities, especially musicians who started off by performing and clubs, have at least some first-hand experience at creating a welcoming environment.
