Passed Away at 21 Year Old

Juice WRLD passed away on December 8, 2019. Before his death, he was on a private jet from Los Angeles to Chicago. When the jetplane landed at the Midway International Airpot, police were waiting for their arrival. It seems that federal agents were ready to take action on the jetplane due to information regarding drugs and firearms on the plane.

It was reported that Juice WRLD consumed several unknown pills to hide them from the police. The police reported three handguns and 72 pounds of marijuana were on the plane. WRLD started to have seizures. Doctors gave him two doses of Narcan expecting his condition was caused by an opioid overdose. His death was caused by high toxicity levels of oxycodone and codeine in his body. This event happened six days after his 21st birthday.

Success After Death

Despite having a short-lived life in the celebrity spotlight, WRLD had a successful career in the music industry. He won plenty of awards before and after his death, such as the American Music Awards for Favorite Male Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop in 2020, Billboard Music Awards Top New Artist in 2019, and iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best Hip-Hop Album (Death Race for Love) in 2020. These posthumous achievements raked in $15 million, which also lead Juice WRLD to be placed 7th place in 2020’s list of highest-earning dead celebrities.

Legacy Left Behind

Juice WRLD has left the world with more than 2,000 unreleased tracks and songs. Marshmello has shown to the public that he and WRLD collaborated on numerous projects but haven’t released them yet. There might be a time for the unreleased tracks to become future albums, or at least featuring his voice again. If any of that happens, then his legacy would go on and keep earning beyond his death.
